Running with Scissors: A Memoir

I keep seeing this book compared to David Sedaris' "Dress Your Children in Cordouroy...". Although 'Running with Scissors' was much more warped, I found Sedaris' work to ultimiately be more humorous. Although Burroughs tries to make light of his childhood (and some incidenta are so insane they *are* funny), it's really a tragic story. It's like looking at a clown with the smile painted on who is sobbing into his hands. It wasn't a bad read, but it's not a trip that I would have taken had I known t he destination.
